The Program Manager shall establish and maintain technical and financial reports in order to show progress to corporate management and clients. Maintains client contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations. Ensures the development, maintenance, and implementation of work order management plans, a document which guides the performance of all functional activities performed in various task areas. Evaluates problems, manage workflow, and organize, plan, develop, and supervise execution of appropriate analytical approaches. Experienced in advanced epidemiologic study design and analyses of computerized datasets. Strong computer skills in using SAS, Epi-info, and graphical packages. Will develop and deliver department analytical reports and give oral/visual presentations to professional groups. May travel to meetings and conferences when necessary.
Senior BiostatisticianBiostatistical and epidemiological analysis requires theoretical expertise and experience in generalized linear models, survival analyses, proportional hazards, and other types of multivariate statistical models. Senior Biostatistician is responsible for developing statistical/mathematical models in the evaluation of epidemiological data. Must have a strong working knowledge of SAS, Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Must be able to manage categorical data, as well as clustered data and develop models using longitudinal methods, multivariate analyses, repeated measures, and other advanced multivariate statistical analyses. Additional training in economic analytical modeling in a medical environment is highly desirable. Should be familiar with clinical decision software to explore the effects of discounting, variations in clinical assumptions, and other aspects of sensitivity analysis in cost and cost effectiveness analyses. Collaborates with departmental researchers to determine study protocols and analysis plans, has skills to develop and deliver departmental analytical reports and oral/visual presentations to professional groups and will travel to meetings and conferences when necessary. Training or experience in developing predictive models for success/failure in large populations using risk factors of various strength and positive predictive value very useful. Good writing skills, preferably demonstrated by one or more published articles as author or co-author. Experience with military preventive medicine issues, military populations, military structure, datasets listed in Appendix B.
Principal Public Health AnalystManagement and supervision of the AMSARA analysts, epidemiologic study design, database and statistical programming requires advanced skills in using SAS and graphical packages. Substantial experience analyzing military-specific datasets listed in Appendix B and conducting epidemiologic analyses of computerized datasets using standard packages to import, update, and manipulate datasets. Experience with statistical techniques including random selection of matched controls in case control studies, survival analysis, analysis of variance and covariance, analysis of repeated measures, correlation, linear, logistic, and Poisson regression, and calculation of odds ratios, relative risk, p-values, interval estimation, and sample size and power estimations. Experience in epidemiologic study design and execution. Skills are required to develop and deliver division analytical reports and oral/visual presentations to professional groups, as well as publish manuscripts in peer reviewed journals. Travels to meetings and conferences when necessary.
Senior and Junior Public Health AnalystsEpidemiologic study design, database and statistical programming requires advanced skills in using SAS and graphical packages. Sufficient experience analyzing military-specific datasets listed in Appendix B and conducting epidemiologic analyses of computerized datasets using standard packages to import, update, and manipulate datasets. Travel to meetings and conferences when necessary.
Senior Data ManagerDatabase management requires experience in Microsoft Access or writing computer programs using SAS; must be proficient in importing data, creating, updating (corrections, additions [data elements or records]), and manipulating datasets. Assists senior staff in data manipulations and follow-up analysis. May work directly with division staff on developing computer-assisted interviewing software, telecommunication links, encryption algorithms, system/software documentation, and methods for data quality assurance. Will provide analytic support and travel to meetings and conferences when necessary. Database documentation also includes: developing file structures and filename conventions, data dictionaries, and, standard operating procedures for data cleaning and review, development of final files, and, merging of files for analysis. Database maintenance requires regular and routine review of the status of databases and associated documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), etc. Maintains multiple protocol books and chronicles manuscript preparation. Develops hard copy tracking and filing system, evaluate forms and develops coding methods, identify study needs and collaborate with analysts and programmers on implementing study data management needs.
