AMENDMENT 1 TO W81K02-20-Q-0177Att1
1. The purpose of this amendment is to address questions received as a result of the posting of this solicitation.
2. No other changes to the terms and conditions of this solicitation and the closing date and time remain unchanged.
3. Offerors shall acknowledge Amendment 1 in quote submission.
QUESTION #1:
Will Tripler Army Medical Center provide a test list for each category in Appendix A? An expected test list will provide vendors with the needed information to provide a price competitive proposal.
RESPONSE:
With the advancements in genetic testing over the past decade, the field has quickly become mainstream. Currently, there are over 2,000 genetic tests for common conditions and rare diseases combined. The Government’s goal is to provide health care providers with as many options as possible to provide the best care for its patient catchment. Vendors are required to submit their entire test list with their offer to include pricing for each test in accordance with Addendum to 52.212-1, Volume IV - Price.
QUESTION #2:
In Appendix A, the following table below is depicted. We have several, if not many tests that fall under each of these categories. For instance, under cardiology, we have tests for over 30 inherited-cardiac conditions. Are you interested in all relevant tests for these categories?
RESPONSE:
Yes, please refer to the responses provided to Questions #1 and #4.
QUESTION #3:
In section 5.1 it states, "Required Services: Genetic Testing and Variant confirmation service by whole genome sequencing and deletion/duplication analysis using next generation sequencing technology."
a) Are you also interested in these services and would like prices for these to be quoted?
b) If so, we typically confirm variants via Sanger sequencing as it is the most cost-effective method. Is that an acceptable method for the TAMC?
RESPONSE:
The Government is interested in these services, however, we specifically asked for next generation sequencing because of the increased sensitivity over Sanger sequencing. Therefore, Sanger sequencing is not an acceptable method and the Government is not requesting pricing for these types of tests.
QUESTION #4:
VOLUME II – TECHNICAL. Please confirm the price list should be included in both VOLUME II – TECHNICAL and in VOLUME – IV PRICE.
RESPONSE:
The purpose of this amendment is to revise the number of volumes quotes shall be prepared in, requirements for VOLUME II – TECHNICAL, and paragraph a under VOLUME IV – PRICE in the Addendum to 52.212-1. Changes have been highlighted in yellow below.
