SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following items are applicable to this modification:

SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

W81K02-18-Q-0107 / REMOTE CODING II, BACH, ALASKA

AMENDMENT 0001

QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES:

1. Please clarify IP Records to be coded as follows:

a. “Up to 5 Days – QUANTITY 360, QUANTITY 48.”

Response: Approximately 30 medical/surgical inpatient charts need to be coded monthly (30 x 12 = 360). There is no way to know when a patient will be admitted or discharged, so all numbers are approximate.

b. “6 Days or More” – Will these records be spread out evenly per month (or close)? (Example:

approximately 30 1-5 day stays and 4-6 or more day stays per month.)

Response: Approximately 4 medical/surgical inpatient charts need to be coded monthly for extended inpatient hospital stays. There is no way to know when a patient will be admitted or discharged, so all numbers are approximate.

2. For the On-Site Provider Training Visits – QUANTITY 4-UNIT/QUARTERLY:

a. How many trainers would Ft Wainwright like to come when performing the training (1 or 2)?

Response: 1 or 2 trainers would be acceptable; but 2 trainers would improve the training experience.

Training would likely last a week with approximately 5 sessions per day. Some auditor/trainers have more experience in different specialty areas and would be better able to address the various physician specialties that sign up for training.

b. Per 5.1.4.3., "Training material will be based on the physician or clinical outpatient encounters (AHLTA)", Does Ft Wainwright want the contractor to gather the encounters sourced for training [to be] identified, pre-printed and bound for distribution at the training sessions?

Response: Yes, the Contactor is expected to gather the encounters sourced for training to be identified, pre-printed and bound for distribution at the training session. Printed materials and hand-outs of the training material is expected to be provided by the Contractor at these sessions.

3. We have offices both in the U.S. and India and we majorly run our operations from our Indian Office. Thus we wanted to know if this is a possible offshore opportunity that we could explore.

Response: Per our Security Office, this is not an off-shore opportunity.

W81K0218Q0107

4. The SF 1449 reads “Small Business – Set Aside” but Gov win reads “Hub Zone Set Aside.” Which is it?

Response: The Government Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov) states that this solicitation is a Small Business set-aside.

5. Is there a deadline to submit questions for this RFQ?

Response: Questions should be received well before the proposal due date, preferably at least 1 week before closing. This acquisition is on a short time line and we are certain that there will be more than enough competition with the short window that it is open.
