Attachment D – Question and Answer W81K0023R0012 COVID and Strep Testing

Question # 1: Reference Attachment A, 6. Please confirm this is a request for an additional

15(+) instruments, which are to be included in the reagent pricing in Attachment B.

Government Response #1: The requirement is for 15 RT-PCR testing platforms that can test one sample at a time. Other point of care testing system configurations that enables testing of 1-4 specimens at a time might be considered if the system dimensions meet requirements. Individual analyzers shall fit into a foot print no larger than 12 inches x 16 inches and have a maximum height of

18 inches as specified in the Statement of Work. Attachment B – Pricing Worksheet includes tests and reagents to include instrument/equipment, consumables, controls, shipping and delivery, and any necessary services (e.g., maintenance of furnished equipment) to conduct required testing.

Question # 2: Reference Attachment A, 6.11. We understand that the current instruments are directly connected to Genesis, and from previous market survey data a new DMS is not needed.

Please confirm our understanding is correct.

Government Response #2: The contractor’s system must have an authorization to operate (ATO) in

Defense Health Administration (DHA) network and able to interface with MHS GENESIS laboratory information system.

Question # 3: Reference Attachment A, 6.11.1-2. Please clarify if these sections are applicable to the COVID-Strep testing in this RFP.

Government Response #3: Yes, the Statement of Work sections 6.11.1-2 are applicable to SARS-

CoV-2, Influenza A, Influenza B, and Streptococcus pyogenes (Strep Group A) PCR testing. See revised Statement of Work via Amendment.

Question # 4: Solicitation W81K00-23-R-0012, #8. Given this event was issued shortly before the holiday weekend and some of our resources are still on holiday, would you extend the due date to 6/16?

Government Response #4: The due date and time have been updated via Amendment.
