About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) response related to a Request for Information (RFI) for a Tactical Fires Radar Technology, Medium Lift Ground-based Radar system. The RFI is being issued by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center, Research and Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate.
The key details are:
- The respondents should assume the existence of a power source, but need to provide the power requirements to achieve threshold and objective performance. The weight of any external power generator will be a factor, but the limitations are not known at this time.
- No other details about the required system capabilities, response dates, award dates, pricing terms, set asides, or other salient information are provided in this Q&A document. The full details would be contained in the RFI posting itself.

| Question No. | Contractor Question | Government Response |
| 1 | Shall we assume the existence of a power source, or are we responsible for including it...? |
| Do we need to provide our own power source, or can we assume available power from the host platform? Or both? If the intent is to rely on the host platform, what is the useful trade space for available power? | We don’t fully have an answer to what the power source will be. The respondents should assume existence of a power source, but they need to tell us the power requirements. In other words, we want to understand the power requirements to achieve the threshold and objective performance. The weight of the power source, if external generator, will be a factor but we can’t speak to what the limitations will be at this time. |
