About this file
This market survey questionnaire requests information to support a potential U.S. Army requirement for MLC 80 Tracked/110 Wheeled and MLC 120 Tracked/150 Wheeled Line of Communication Bridge (LOCB) systems capable of spanning 50 meter dry and wet gaps. Respondents are asked to provide detailed responses by 10 March 2020 to 43 questions regarding their bridge products and capabilities. The questionnaire covers topics such as system specifications, costs, testing procedures, transportability, maintenance support, training services, and packaging capabilities. The Army seeks LOCB systems that can be launched and retrieved using standard military equipment operated by 29 soldiers, and delivered in ISO containers to maximize space utilization. This pre-solicitation notice does not represent a request for proposal or guarantee of future contract award.

The U.S. Army is soliciting industry for Military Load Classification (MLC) 80 Tracked /110 Wheeled and MLC 120 Tracked /150 Wheeled Line of Communication Bridge (LOCB) systems, all capable of supporting Normal vehicle crossings per the Trilateral Design and Test Code (TDTC).
Description of Intent: This is a market survey questionnaire requesting information in support of the following potential requirement. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking contractors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this questionnaire is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. The U.S. Army will not publish the results of this questionnaire. Respondents will not be notified regarding information obtained related to this questionnaire. The paragraphs below contain additional information regarding the questionnaire and its subject. If you need further communications with the U.S. Army concerning this questionnaire, you may contact Shelia Couch at Shelia.a.couch.civ@mail.mil. Thank you in advance for your time and participation in this market survey questionnaire.
Potential Requirement: The purpose of this questionnaire is to support market research efforts being conducted by the U.S. Army to better understand the availability of commercial / non-developmental LOCB systems that satisfy US Army requirements for Dry and Wet Gap bridging capability. The following information describes the US Army’s requirements for MLC 80T/110W and MLC 120T/150W dry and wet gap LOCB systems.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
The desired LOC bridging capability demonstrates the performance characteristics detailed below.
