QUESTIONS
1. Is the proposed delivery schedule of 200 days acceptable? Justification: OEM vehicle build 150 days – Modifications 50 days.
a) Also, will the delivery schedule begin once meetings and if required engineering changes approved?
ANSWER: The USG would be interested in extending the delivery schedule if that would increase competition or if there is a reason that the USG isn’t aware of that would cause our required delivery schedule to not be achievable.
The delivery schedule starts on the day the contract is awarded, not based on meetings. Additionally the USG is expecting any award to be made based on an acceptable proposal, so there should be any "required engineering changes".
2. Spare part lot price list, last line item labeled RFID.
a) Am I correct in assuming the $100 RFID fee means the Government will provide RFID and the contractor determines a suitable amount to place on spare lot package(s)?
ANSWER: There is no mention of a $100.00 RFID Fee in the contract.
3. Page 22. Clause-23, 52.204-12 and Clause-90, 252.246-7006
a) How do you want to handle UID/UIIs? Will the vehicles Vin on receiving report be suffice, or do you want encoded UIDs placed in the vehicles?
b) Do you want UIDs on each spare part, spare lot, or none?
ANSWER: Yes the vehicle VIN can be used as the UID. No IUID is required on the Spares.
