TAP Program -W56HZV-19-R-0043 Q&A Response (3)
1. Question: Will the winning contractor be required to remanufacture or overhaul individual vehicle components. It talks about repair but will there be a requirement to reman items.
Answer: No, the requirements for this contract are for repair only.
2. Question: If we are required to remanufacture items, will there a separate cost section in the RFP that will allow us to provide a fixed price that can be evaluated against competitors. My partner has been successfully overhauling components for the Marine Corps for 15 years and saving the Corps millions in the process.
Answer: No, there is no requirement to remanufacture items.
3. Question: I was unsure if the costs of shipping items to and from subcontractors will be part of the pricing model or will that be an ODC.
Answer: There will not be an individual section in the pricing model to input shipping costs. A plug number will be provided for ODC’s.
4. Question: Will there be an industry day in Texas that can provide a detailed evaluation of the facility to determine if additional capital investments are necessary.
Answer: No, an Industry Day is not planned for this action.
