Sources Sought Notice: Dry Support Bridge (DSB) 46 Meter Re-design

The Government plans to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the re-design modifications for each of the three Dry Support Bridge (DSB) loads specified as the (46m)

Launch Vehicle Trailer, (46m) Trailer 1, and (46m) Trailer 3 in accordance with Chapter 11 of the DSB Technical Manual 5-5420-279-10, support testing of the 46 meter DSB for rail impact transport, and production of the modifications for fielded systems.

The DSB provides the United States (U.S) Army with an enhanced tactical bridging capability that replaces existing bridges currently in service with U.S. ground forces, including the Medium Girder Bridge (MGB). The system is a highly mobile, truck-mounted (Government provided), rapidly emplaced, modular bridging system capable of spanning gaps up to 46 meters without the use of intermediate supports, piers, span junctions or reinforcement sets. The DSB allows for crossing of wheeled vehicles up to Military Load Classification (MLC) 96 normal/120 under caution crossing conditions and tracked vehicles up to MLC 80 normal crossing conditions.
