1. STATEMENT OF WORK

The Contractor shall furnish all of the necessary personnel, materials, services, facilities, (except as otherwise specified herein), and otherwise do all the things necessary for or incident to the performance of the work as set forth below.

1.1. BACKGROUND

The Laundry Advanced System (LADS) is a trailer mounted field laundry system designed to clean clothing in the field and consists of two washing/drying systems. The LADS filters and recycles the laundry water for re-use.

The system components are mounted on an International Standards Organization (ISO) frame, which is mounted to a 22-ton M871 semi-trailer. There is a trailer mounted container to store accessories, auxiliary equipment, and consumable supplies. Additionally, there is a 400 gallon fuel pod mounted on the trailer to supply fuel to the

LADS and the 30Kw generator. The LADS will clean up to 400 pounds per hour of individual clothing (standard is 15 pounds of laundry per soldier per week during defensive operations). During conventional operations, the device is also capable of cleaning Organization Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). The LADS is towed with a 5 ton truck tractor. It is air transportable using C5A aircraft only and is not externally transportable by

CH-47 helicopter. The LADS is employed by QM Field Service Companies and Composite Supply Companies that provides direct support (DS) Laundry for Divisional and Non-divisional troops.

1.2. SCOPE

The Contractor shall develop and produce Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) Digital Video Disc (DVD)

Training-courseware Tool in accordance with Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) AXXX and this statement of work. The Contractor shall deliver IMI DVD Training-courseware Tool which supports Operator, Operator Maintenance Tasks and Field Level Maintenance tasks for the LADS System.
