On the attributes page 1 of the Industry Day Slides, Attribute 1 states the following:

"Type I and II LEUT will have mechanically operated auto retractable dual front landing gear with drop legs, and two removable rear pivot mount stabilizer legs." The question is, the word auto implies that the landing gear are to be automatic. However, if something is mechanically operated then it would not be automatic it seems to us that the wording contradicts itself. We suggest removing the word auto unless the government would like automatically operated landing gear which would mean electric, hydraulic or air. Reference question and answer #19. 4/1/2016 8/31/2016

On the attributes page 2 of the Industry Day Slides, attribute 6 states the following:

"Type 1 and II LEUT will have a common military parking, hand operated/adjustable mechanical parking brake". The question is, what is meant by the word adjustable in the above sentence. Please clarify.

The term "adjustable" refers to the ability to increase or decrease the parking brake effect to take into account wear and tear of the parking brake components. When the parking brake starts to wear an adjustment could be made to compensate for having to engage the hand operated brake further in order to achieve the same level of stopping ability. 4/1/2016 8/31/2016

102 What will the selection criteria be? The selection criteria will be specified in the formal RFP. 4/1/2016 8/31/2016

Some American company vendors are considering having some components for this contract built offshore to lower pricing.

* What percentage of US components versus offshore components are allowed for this contract award?

* In the previous question, is the percentage evaluated in “weight of the components” or “number of components”?

* Are there any components mandated to be made in America?

* Are these questions dealt with in a specific section of Solicitation W56HZV16R0095 pre-solicitation in detail?

* Do you have a list for specific components and or countries for outsourcing consideration or exclusion?

The appropriate criteria for these questions will be listed in the RFP under various clauses.
