Salient Characteristics

The contractor shall install all barrier gate arms, operator footings, vehicle detection loops, Individual ID Radio Receivers, Individual ID Radio Transmitters, and S.O.S. Siren Operated Sensors.

A) Barrier Gate Arms Quantity is 4

1) Adjustable speeds.

2) Custom aluminum (standard). The optional articulating arm must be 1 of the following 3 combination aluminum-PVC: No. 1.) 7 ft. clear/8 ft. extended (2.1 m/2.4 m); No. 2) 8 ft. clear/10

ft. extended (2.4 m/3 m), or No. 3.) 9 ft. clear/11 ft. extended (2.7 m/3.4 m)

3) Arm full open angle: Adjustable 90º ± 10º

4) Left handing standard. Right handing available.

5) Back up battery pack must be 12VDC and 24VDC. Must operate at least 1 (one) thousand cycles or more with battery power.

6) Voltage Input: 115VAC, 3A, 60/50 Hz or 208-230VAC, 1.5A, 60/50 Hz

7) Temperature Rating is at a minimum of -15º to no greater than 158º F (-25º to 70º C) No heater necessary

8) Communication: Must conform to the current base installation standard or equivalent to with compatibility.

8a) The current system is USB, RS-232, RS-485; Ethernet/fiber using optional HyNet™ Gateway accessory.

9) User Controls: Must conform to the current installation standard or equivalent to with compatibility.

10) The current system is Smart DC Controller with 70+ configurable settings. 32 character LCD display and 5 tact buttons or a PC using S.T.A.R.T. software.

11) Relays: Must conform to the current installation standard or equivalent to with compatibility.

11a) The current system is Two configurable user relays: 30VDC, 3A solid state and 250VAC, 10A electromechanical. Optional Hy8Relay™ for 8 additional relay outputs

12) The finish shall be zinc plated with powder coating and the color and design shall comply with the U.S. Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency SDDCTEA 55-17.

13) Must be perform at least 2 million cycles before installation. Vendor must submit a certification to certify each arm met this requirement.

B) Operator Footings Quantity is 4

1) Extend 42” below grade

C) Vehicle Detection Loops Quantity is 4

D) Individual ID Radio Receiver Quantity is 2

Must match current existing Radio Transmitters with redundant memory capacity, 1P44 Housing, and Block Learning Capability

E) Individual ID Radio Transmitters Quantity is 100

Must be Lift Master or brand name compatible with Lift Master.

F) S.O.S. Siren Operated Sensors Quantity is 2
