Contractor will provide requirements for word count.
The contractor is required to collaborate on rights and reproductions for high-res images and the rights to use them.
Three reviews of each graphic mechanical will be required, and then contractor will make revisions and submit the final graphic mechanicals. Upon approval, contractor shall provide PDF files of the approved graphic mechanicals to the Government. Electronic files of the Mechanicals will be provided to the Fabricator, and shall include all approved color, graphic elements, and text. The contractor is not responsible for evaluating how the new/revised labels are informed by selection of artifacts in the case. While the Government plans on providing the exact changes to make and assumes responsibility for any inconsistencies the new text may create, task does includes time for the contractor to review proposed edits for blatant errors.
C.5.1.5 Copy Editor: The contractor shall provide (1) professional copy editor to review all written materials to include text panels, artifact labels, and photo captions for every element within the exhibit. These reviews will occur periodically throughout the project to ensure proper grammar, usage, and word count are met based on established guidelines by the client. This will include an artifact list, complete with dimensions, weights for artifacts that exceed 40 lbs., and images. Any special display requirements that need to be taken into account should also be provided. The contractor shall evaluate information provided by the Government and coordinate with them to ensure that requested revisions can be accommodated in the case. It is assumed there will be one round of reviews for each revised artifact case layout, and any revisions will be made and submitted to the Government electronically for another review and approval.
C. 5.1.9 Artifact/Exhibit Cases: The contractor shall fabricate custom-made artifact cases based off the artifact layout and information provided by the Government. This shall include development of glass cases, acrylic casework, metal and wooden bases based on exhibit design. The contractor shall make the cases to be reused for future exhibits; therefore, they must be able to be removable and not affixed to the floor. These cases must be designed with retractable and/or lockable caster wheels (non-metal) in order for them to move easily. The contractor shall produce a number of specially designed active-system cases to support/protect rare and fragile artifacts that require special care/instructions as dictated by the client.
