About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document clarifying specifications for breathing apparatus and diving equipment procurement.

The document addresses three key clarifications: (1) Compressor specifications requiring a 300 Bar compressor with 4 outlets for filling self-contained breathing apparatus, with a minimum capacity of 300 liters per minute; (2) Confirmation that composite bottles (equipment) must comply with EN 137 standard, which applies to self-contained breathing apparatus; and (3) Diving equipment requirements including an emergency regulator and pressure gauge (manometer) for emergencies or pressure relief purposes, referred to as an OCTOPUS system, in addition to the first and second stage regulators. The responses dated 5/5/26 confirm that the EN 137 standard applies despite not specifically referencing underwater equipment, and that emergency safety components are required components of the diving equipment specification.
