Production Fence Repair Solicitation W52P1J-22-Q-3012

Q1: As far as the posts for the fence, is it acceptable to plate a 6” x 6” galvanized plate down to the concrete mow strip and weld some of the slightly damaged posts back to those plates? Obviously the ones that are too damaged would have to be replaced, but they would be installed the same way if acceptable. Otherwise, the concrete would have to be either saw cut out, and the all the damaged posts pulled out.

And then reform the concrete and pour it back flush when setting the new posts back in concrete footings. * There would still be a seam to where these repairs are done because of the removal.

The plated option would be much cheaper to do and would hold with sufficient strength.

A1: All fencing requires a concrete footing, and a contraction joint at each post.

Q2: The grounds look pretty wet, is it possible to drive a piece of equipment around to do these repairs? Something like a utility vehicle or (side x side), not a truck. Unless you want the posts set back in concrete, then we would require a machine to drive around the property, pull the posts and remove the concrete, and dig the holes to set the posts in concrete if this is okay. Please let me know.

A2: The ground is still wet, but should hold a ½ ton pickup or equivalent. Each of the damaged sections should be accessible from either the secure area side or the outside area side.
