About this file

This document contains a request for information and clarifying questions regarding a media blasting booth system. The U.S. Army seeks information from qualified vendors to provide a media blasting booth that meets 100% pass through requirements without HEPA filtration. Interested parties must submit responses by April 30th with company and socioeconomic information, delivery capabilities from McAlester, Oklahoma, warranty terms, and an explanation of how the firm can meet requirements. The clarifying questions indicate the Army will provide hot water for the booth and that site visits are permitted. Vendors must be able to meet regulations for ventilation and booth sizing.

26 April 2021 Additional Clarifying Questions to Media Blasting Booth System Statement of Work

1. Will you accept pneumatic media recovery systems?

Answer: No.

2. What is the desired ventilation rate?

Answer: The rate that meets regulation for a booth of this size.

3. Should it be assumed that this is a 100% pass through system? Or do you want to add HEPA filtration and return the “cleaned” exhaust air back into the blast enclosure or facility?

Answer: 100% pass through is what USG wants.

4. Based on the above information, can you clarify is the government has a hot water or steam generation available to use for the AMU? If so, do you know its capacity?

Answer: The government has a hot water system and the AMU must be sized for the booth. MCAAP will provide the hot water.

5. Is a site visit being considered? Yes, a site visit is fine.
