About this file

This Questions and Answers document addresses crane setup requirements for the Tobyhanna Army Depot Radome project. The key details clarify that only one crane setup is needed to lift a 9,000-pound radome cap from ground level and place it on the bottom half of the radome. The crane must operate at a working radius of 80 feet to hoist, swing, and lower the cap for attachment. While one day is expected for completion, an extra day is allocated for potential weather or wind delays.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 2

Question 1-From where the crane will be set up how far in and how far up. How many Set ups? Do you have any blueprints? The Boom needs to go up and in, how is the access? I am guessing we have good clearance. The Weight is 9,000 lbs which is fine. If you can supply a drawing that would be great.
Answer 1-There will only be one setup unless something prevents us from picking (weather/wind). We should only need one day but put an extra in case of this. The boom will not have to go inside. The crane will be picking the top half (cap) from ground level and placing it on top of the bottom half.
The crane will be required to hoist, swing and lower the radome cap for attachment to the radome base at a working radius of 80 feet. (This information is located in the Performance Work Statement)
