About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Next Generation Shop Equipment Welding (NG SEW) Hand Tool Components, accompanied by a pre-solicitation notice. The SOW details requirements for commercial components to be incorporated into the NG SEW system manufactured at Joint Manufacturing Technology Center - Rock Island Arsenal, providing increased field and sustainment welding/cutting capability for the Army. Components must be new, unused, and delivered according to a specific parts list (Attachment 0001).
The pre-solicitation notice indicates the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island plans to issue a five-year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) IDIQ contract. Key requirements include quality control measures with 100% accuracy for component numbers and descriptions, specific packaging and marking requirements, and OEM warranties with 85% minimum shelf life remaining at acceptance. Interested vendors must demonstrate experience and technical capability, provide company details including CAGE code, size status, and estimated delivery timeframes. Responses should be emailed to travis.j.poindexter.civ@army.mil, though no response deadline is specified. The parts list is in draft form and subject to change in the final solicitation.
