About this file
This is a Statement of Work detailing requirements for pneumatic components needed for the Next Generation Shop Equipment Welding (NG SEW) system being manufactured at the Joint Manufacturing Technology Center - Rock Island Arsenal. The contractor must provide new, unused commercial pneumatic components according to a detailed parts list (Attachment 0001), with each kit containing all specified parts and quantities. The components will be incorporated into an aluminum enclosure as part of the NG SEW system that provides increased field and sustainment welding/cutting capability for the Army.
The SOW outlines specific requirements for quality control, material marking, packing, and warranty terms. Components must have 85% of OEM warranty remaining at acceptance and include detailed warranty claim processes. The contractor must provide Certificates of Conformance for all materials and achieve 100% accuracy in component numbers, descriptions, quantities, and units of measure. Packaging must protect items through multiple handlings, with special provisions for hazardous materials when applicable. The contractor may submit Engineering Change Proposals and Requests for Variance for obsolete materials, subject to government approval. This requirement is being pursued by Army Contracting Command - Rock Island as a potential 5-year Firm Fixed Price IDIQ contract.
