About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract W50S9326QA010 addressing the repair and upgrade of the main gate at 141 ACS ANGB Punta Borinquen, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
The clarified project scope requires installation of two stand-alone, weather-resistant keypad controllers mounted on industrial-grade gooseneck pedestals—one for inbound and one for outbound access. The keypad units, housings, and pedestals must feature standard communication protocols and physical expansion capacity with pre-configured mounting space and internal conduit paths to accommodate future integration of proximity card readers and physical key entry/override switches without requiring pedestal replacement or structural modifications. The contractor must provide and install electrical conduits, wiring, and connections for access control and sliding gate operation, and integrate all tracking boards into the existing security control console and automated badge scanning readers. All gates must include emergency manual release mechanisms accessible only to authorized personnel. A clarification note confirms that no new card reader system is required; however, the North Gate will receive a new independent system with keypad entry and audible beepers for gate operation, with infrastructure capability for future ADVANTOR system connection, though the ADVANTOR system itself is outside the project scope.

W50S9326QA010
1. Please validate the following project tasks of the hardware and integrations required as understood by us:
-Two (2) stand-alone, weather-resistant keypad controllers mounted on industrial-grade gooseneck pedestals: 1 Inbound and 1 Outbound Keypad.
-The selected keypad units, housings, and gooseneck pedestals must feature standard communication protocols and physical expansion capacity. The pedestals and housings must provide pre-configured mounting space and internal conduit paths to easily accommodate the future integration of proximity card readers and/or physical key entry/override switches without requiring pedestal replacement or structural modifications.
-Provide and installation of electrical conduits, wiring and connections for access control and sliding gate operation.
-Wire and integrate all tracking boards into the existing security control console, automated badge scanning readers, and master emergency override switches. All gates must feature an emergency manual release mechanism accessible only to authorized Personnel.
-There is no requirement for a new card reader system anymore, correct?
Clarification: North Gate to receive a new independent system with keypad entry and “beepers” for gate operation and infrastructure capability for ADVANTOR system connection. ADVANTOR system is out of this scope.
