A: ANSI pump will be accepted by GOVERNMENT – Given it meets the requirements of flow rate listed in UFC 3-460-03 for returning to bulk through the existing filter separators.
Q: Paragraph 3.4.10. Does the Government want a local, audible alarm or an alarm reporting back to the pumphouse?
A: High level and high-high level alarms will report back to the pumphouse using the existing Pump Control Panel (PCP) audible and visual alarm systems.
Q: Paragraph 3.4.17. Are these to be design drawings showing the location of the PRT in relation to existing fence and other structures or utilities?
A: Yes, these drawings shall show approx. location of what and where new equipment will be installed.
Q: Paragraph 3.5.8. Where does the alarm report to? If these alarms are to report to an alarm center, please provide the system and specifications.
A: High level and high-high level alarms will report back to the pumphouse using the existing Pump Control Panel (PCP) audible and visual alarm systems. The current operating system utilized is Bay Associates, whom will need to be present upon commissioning or final inspection.
Q: Paragraph 3.5.12. Does this mean the tank should be sloped toward one end and have a drain to remove water or fuel?
A: Correct. New tank shall either be constructed with a sump or low point to allow for maximum emptying capabilities.
Q: For this project, do we need a USACE quality control manager with CQM and military fuel system installation experience?
A: No. This is not a requirement, however; contractor shall ensure they provide appropriate supervision and quality control for each task of the project to ensure the workmanship and product reflect the Statement of Work.
