About this file

This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) related to a federal government Request for Quotation (RFQ) solicitation for commercial internet service. The RFQ has a solicitation number of W50S87-24-Q-0017 and is issued by the 145th Communications Squadron of the North Carolina National Guard.

The Q&A addresses two questions from potential offerors. The first question asks if construction will be allowed on the site at 39563 Warrior Way, New London, NC 28127, to which the government responded that there is an existing fiber pathway on base that Windstream and Spectrum have already installed, and any additional construction would require approval from base Civil Engineering. The second question asks if the base will extend the circuit from the nearest commercial demarcation point, to which the government responded that the demarcation point is located in Building 1 at the same address.

Questions and Answers #1

Q1. Based upon the SOW, a fiber build is required to reach 39563 Warrior Way, New London, NC 28127. Will you allow construction on that site?

A1. Yes, but there is a pathway on base already. Windstream and Spectrum already have optical fiber running on base. Any additional construction requires approval from base Civil Engineering.

Q2. Alternatively, will the base extend the circuit from the nearest commercial demarc point? (if yes, please provide the demarc address)

A2. Our technicians will extend from the DEMARC. The DEMARC is located in Bldg 1, same address 39563 Warrior Way, New London, NC 28127.
