Contractor Questions through 26 April 2021 Office Furniture
Solicitation # W50S7T21Q0001
1. QUESTION: Is there a scope of work?
ANSWER: No.
2. QUESTION: What date and time would the site visit be?
ANSWER:This is listed within the solicitation. Please review closer.
3. QUESTION: Are you trying to match existing Group Lacasse furniture?
ANSWER: No. This is just a brand of furniture that has been installed on the base in the past successfully.
4. QUESTION: I know your solicitation said 3 buildings. Is it one office per building or is it 3 whole buildings that need furbished?
ANSWER: It is not 3 whole buildings. To our knowledge it is just one office for each area. The public affairs area is the only area that may have multiple offices located in that area known at this time. A price for the building as a total will be provided for each CLIN though.
5. QUESTION: If there is more than one office per building can we provide them as a CLIN for each office?
ANSWER: The solicitation is being amended to list each office that will be visited during the site visit.
6. QUESTION: Are there any drawings and or specification on this project in Peoria IL??
ANSWER: No. The company is required to come to the site visit to acquire their own specifications in order to develop their own drawings. The Government is not looking for a one size fits all. We want it to fit in the spaces provided.
7. QUESTION: Does the furniture have to be on GSA?
ANSWER: No. It would be beneficial if it were, as it would make the contracting process easier for the Government, but it is not required.
8. QUESTION: If furniture is on GSA will it be rated higher?
ANSWER: No.
9. QUESTION: Does the furniture have to meet the Buy American Act and Trade
Agreement Act requirements?
ANSWER: Yes.
10. QUESTION: Can you please provide information regarding the SITE Visit??
ANSWER: The site visit has already been held. While the site visit was not listed within the attachment, it was listed in section (xv) of the actual solicitation. It read:
(xv) A site visit is scheduled for 23 April 2021 at 2416 S. Falcon Blvd, Bldg 728 Room 18, Peoria, IL 61607 at 0800. Any contractor planning to attend must email MSgt Ben Yeutson at the email address below. Contractors shall provide the name, and if applicable the vehicle type, no later than 21 April 2021 at 4pm Central Standard Time
(CST).
There are no more site visits planned for this requirement.
11. QUESTION: Would you still consider a proposal from our company, after this blunder?
Or would you consider a proposal from a company that did not come to the site visit?
ANSWER: Yes. Your company could provide a proposal. However, please note that in order to meet the technical aspect of the source selection, it states: Can the vendor provide a product that meets the specifications required in part 4 through 5 in the statement of work? Part 5 of the statement of work states, “Contractor will be required to attend the site visit but no measurements will be provided to the contractors. Contractors will be responsible for acquiring their own measurements for furniture layouts. This will only be allowed during the scheduled site visit. There are no other planned site visits.”
The Government is not providing any measurements for furniture. This was the reason for the site visit.
