[see vendor sign-in]
2. An overview of the solicitation package was briefed with particular attention given to evaluation criteria. FAR Part 13 procedures are being used and quotes will be evaluated using price, technical, and past performance. Offerors are encouraged to submit multiple quotes or options. The Government currently has Lochinvar brand boilers installed at each building throughout installation therefore offerors proposing these types of boilers will receive boost in technical evaluation. If offerors are proposing alternative boilers, they must provide product information to Government to help determine suitability and maintenance. In addition, alternative boilers must meet technical specifications as to service the building without issue. The Government is looking have to this project completed by June 2023 or sooner. The period of performance quoted will be considered as part of technical evaluation.
3. Quotes should offer their own period of performance as well as a narrative of what work the quote entails. Old boilers are to be disposed by contractor how they see fit. One existing boiler has holes in the exchanger. Controls should be set up as how they currently exist.
4. The government is extending the solicitation to 31 March 2023 and will entertain ad hoc site visits. Ensure to email Contracting at 126.arw.msc@us.af.mil to request ad hoc site visit. The Government has also included pictures of current boilers to solicitation. Any updated information posted on SAM.gov will take precedence over those previously stated. Site visit access will be based on government availability.
5. Offerors must submit to be responsive:
Pricing, on any normal business quote sheet (ensure to include estimated period of performance), narrative of work to be performed, product information for alternative boilers.
6. Any quotes should be based on the solution that will be most advantageous to the
Government. All technical questions were requested to be submitted in writing to the Base Contracting Officer. Answers would be provided through an amendment to the solicitation. No additional items or information were presented.
