About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a DT-570 International Engine. The RFQ is for the Montana Air National Guard (MTANG) Fire Truck Engine, with Solicitation Number W50S7L-24-Q-0010. The required engine has specific characteristics, including a 570 cu. in. 4 cycle diesel engine with inline six cylinder configuration. The manufacturer is required to provide all available manuals and data pertinent to the engine's operation. The procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, with NAICS code 333613 and a size standard of 750 employees. The basis for award will be the best value to the government when evaluating Price and Past Performance Rating. The questions address the availability of the engine's serial number and core, as well as the requirement for a parts manual.

Question 1: I needed to know the ESN of the engine and to also see if there is a core that will be coming back with it. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer 1: Good morning, Yes, there will be a core available

Engine SN: 570HM2U3326505

Model: GDT330

Displacement: 570 / 9.3L

Label #: 7082907C1

Question 2: I noticed your RFQ for the DT570 and have a quick question regarding the statement below under 'TRANSPORTATION' that I have pasted below:

"The manufacturer shall supply all manuals such as operation instructions, parts lists, and diagrams. Furthermore, the manufacturer shall supply any other data pertinent to the operation of the unit."

Normally with the purchase of a replacement engine, Manuals are not provided. I have access to all manuals as we are an International Dealer, and I can provide PDF copies of operational and any service-related manual, but providing a parts manual is a different animal. Do you require a parts manual with this engine?

Answer 2: The Government requires all manuals that are available to the supplier that can be transmitted to the customer. This is an all-inclusive statement and it is understandable if particular manuals cannot be provided.
