SITE VISIT Q&A’S

August 20, 2020

Building 314/315/319 Communication Installation Service

Q: Are the speakers wired?

A: Yes, NO speakers are wired.

Q: Is there any cable tray installation required?

N: No, all cable trays are already installed.

Q: Where will the antenna be installed at?

A: Amendment PWS 5.1.11 has full details on antenna installation.

Q: What is the Distance from the manhole to the building location Comm room for extension of Fiber?

A: We’re not spicing from the manhole. They will be splicing from within the existing Mechanical/Electrical room Room 110

Q: What brand of Fiber are already installed?

A: For the most part it is Corning fiber and patch panels but it varies from building to building. PWS does not call for any brand specific fiber.

Q: 5.1.7 What size fiber (assuming duplex cord?) and connectors (assuming LC?)

A: OS2 DUPLEX LC-LC

Q: 5.1.11 What particular fiber converter needed, i.e. preferred brand, etc.?

A: SIGNAMAX 065-1196SFPDR with SM SFP

Q: 5.5.2.1 Is there a preferred cable jacket color?

A: Green

Q: 5.5.2.1 Is there a preferred jack and faceplate color?

A: Stainless Steel

Q: 5.1.8 What is the manufacturer and model numbers of the reused PA equipment so that the proper cable can be sourced?

A: Bogen PA speakers. The cabling used is a Shielded 18 AWG 2 conductor speaker wire
