About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a vehicle wash rack project at a National Guard facility. Key details include:
-
The project involves replacing the existing wash rack equipment with new wall-mounted booms, spray wands capable of high and low pressure, pumps for bug off, soap, high pressure soap and wax functions, and a control panel. Hot water and a tankless water heater are available on site.
-
The contractor will be responsible for all electrical and plumbing connections to the new equipment unless the National Guard can perform the tasks. Power available is to be determined from breaker panel photos. Plumbing connections are required between pumping stations and booms.
-
Equipment specifications include spray wands with 3-5 GPM at 1,000-1,200 PSI, six-foot booms to be wall mounted, and pumps to meet required flow and pressure with power requirements to be determined. The control panel will have push button or switch selection for functions including bug off, soaps, wax and spot-free/reverse osmosis.
-
The National Guard can assist with providing equipment for offloading and installation but the contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of the existing wash bay equipment. Additional photos, site visits or equipment details are available upon request to support the project requirements.
