About this file

This is a Special Notice announcing an industry engagement session regarding the Government's acquisition strategy for the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) program.

The notice clarifies the relationship between three distinct CAML efforts to address industry confusion. The Government previously released an RFSB for heavy and medium variants under W50RAJ25CAMLRFSB, which has been canceled with no prior submissions or evaluations carrying forward. Separately, the Government released RFSB W50RAJ269A003 for the CAML Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP) 60,000 lbs variant, followed by the current RFSB W50RAJ269A014 for an AMP 36,000 lbs variant. The engagement session will provide programmatic overview and clarification but will not address specifics of the current RFSB W50RAJ269A014, its evaluation criteria, or individual offeror submissions. The briefing is scheduled for 1000-1100 CDT on 2 September 2026 via Microsoft Teams. Registration requires submission of company name, CAGE code, and attendee name(s) and email address(es) to the points of contact no later than 1300 CDT on 31 August 2026. Following the live briefing, interested parties may submit written questions with identifier "W50RAJ26IECAML" by 1600 CDT on 8 September 2026, with consolidated responses to be posted by 1600 CDT on 15 September 2026. The engagement session does not affect the response deadline for RFSB W50RAJ269A014. Points of contact are abigail.e.chatelain.civ@army.mil and amy.d.johnson30.ctr@army.mil.

SPECIAL NOTICE

Subject: Industry Engagement – Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) Strategy Overview

1. Purpose

This notice announces an industry engagement session to provide a programmatic overview of the Government's acquisition strategy for CAML. This is not a Request for Information, Sources Sought, or Request for Solutions Brief. This session is being held to explain the rationale behind recent changes and clarify the relationship between prior and current CAML efforts. It is not a forum for discussion of the specifics of the currently open Request for Solutions Brief (RFSB) W50RAJ269A014 – Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP) - Prototype - 36K Lbs. Variant, Leader Prototype, Autonomy Command and Control (C2) and Integration Request for Solutions Brief. Questions specific to RFSB W50RAJ269A014, its evaluation criteria, or an individual offeror's submission will not be addressed during this session, whether live or in writing.

2. Background

The Government previously released an RFSB soliciting a heavy and medium variant under W50RAJ25CAMLRFSB. That solicitation has since been canceled, and no prior submissions, evaluations, or engagement under that solicitation carry forward to any current or future CAML effort. The Government separately released an RFSB for the CAML Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP) 60k lbs, W50RAJ269A003. The Government has since released a new RFSB, W50RAJ269A014, for an AMP 36k lbs variant. This series of changes has caused confusion among industry partners regarding the relationship between the previously solicited heavy and medium variants, the AMP 60k lbs effort, and the current AMP 36k lbs variant solicitation. The Army wishes to level-set expectations on these points and encourage continued industry participation in the program.

3. Session Format

This will be an informational briefing. This session does not constitute discussions, negotiations, or an opportunity to revise or clarify any proposal. Questions may be submitted via the Teams chat during the session. A Government monitor will review submitted questions in real time and, at the Government's sole discretion, may address appropriate and timely questions live, other than questions specific to RFSB W50RAJ269A014 as described in Section 1. Any questions not answered live, along with any questions submitted in writing, will be reviewed after the session and answered in writing as part of the consolidated Q&A described in Section 6.

4. Registration Requirements

Parties interested in attending must submit the following to abigail.e.chatelain.civ@army.mil and amy.d.johnson30.ctr@army.mil no later than 1300 CDT on 31 August 2026:
