REPLACE the Building 16 FM-200 Fire Protection System The FM-200 system shall be replaced with a new FM-200 or equivalent HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) system as identified in the NFPA 2001 Standard on Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems as follows:
| 1. | Replace the existing Gemini Panel with a new, and current, Fenwal 8000 Control System, or equivalent that shall be compatible with the FM 200 container assemblies, to provide coverage in 5 rooms. The Fenwal 8000, or equivalent, shall be capable of expansion to provide fire alarm notification in the other parts of the building. The Fenwal 8000, or equivalent, must tie into the existing Monaco Enterprises Panel via dry contact relays and provide up to 5 addressable zones of coverage. |
| 2. | Replace the existing smoke detectors with Fenwal 8000 Control System, or equivalent, compatible photoelectric, smoke detectors. |
Battery Room – 2 detectors assemblies Server Room – 7 detector assemblies Storage/Office Room – 2 detector assemblies Telco Room – 2 detector assemblies
| 3. | Fenwal 8000, or equivalent, Control Panel shall activate all containers in the event of a fire condition and all zones shall discharge simultaneously regardless where the fire event is located. |
| 4. | Replace the current Manual Release Station with a combo Manual Release/System Abort Station at the following locations: |
Battery Room , Server Room , Office/Storage Room Each Combo Unit shall be marked with the proper caution/advisory placard
| 5. | Replace the 180 degree nozzle in the Server Room with a 360 degree pattern nozzle. |
| 6. | Verify all piping is properly connected by conducting a “puff” test in the Server Room. If new pipe is required or assembly this will be determined after the piping puff test. |
| 7. | Perform Door Fan Test on each room to determine the level of room integrity and the respective areas that need to be sealed. |
| 8. | Install adequate Audible/Visual devices inside and outside the protected areas. |
| 9. | Replace the Telco Room Container Assembly with a new Fenwal Container Assembly or equivalent filled with the correct quantity of FM-200 agent so that it at least meets the minimum design concentration level. |
| 10. | Replace the 2 Container Assemblies in the Server Room. |
