HIGH SPEED HIGH FREQUENCY GENERATOR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following are minimum technical requirements for the high speed high frequency synthesizers/generators needed for the ERADS radar Signature Project.
Frequency Range: 100 MHz to 40 GHz
Frequency Switching Speed: 1 microsecond or less
External reference frequency: 10 MHz
Output Power: 10 dBm or greater
Spectral Purity:
Harmonics:-55 dBc > 2 GHz
Sub-Harmonics: -65 dBc 10 MHz – 20 GHz; -60 dBc 20 GHz – 32 GHz
Non-Harmonic Spurs: -45 dBc
Broadband Noise: < -125 dBc/Hz
Phase Noise @ 1MHz Offset:
< 6 GHz: < -137 dBc/Hz
< 20 GHz: < -126 dBc/Hz
< 31 GHz: < -120 dBc/Hz
Unit should be remotely programmable via network and GPIB
Utilize <400 Watts Power Consumption @ 120 VAC
Standard rack mount < 5U
It should be noted that an effort should be made by “POTENTIAL VENDORS” to identify their technical specification’s definition and relationships with the parameters listed above. Often a vendor will list one or more parameter’s specification which either separately or in combination with others is difficult to make a direct comparison to those on the Governments Minimum Requirement List.
