1) Item 3.2.1 only lists upgrade training. Does this mean that training for students without CMMI v1.3 is not necessary?

Response: Yes, This is as stated for upgrade training of Appraisal Team member and organization member that have already had CMMI v1.3 training.

2) Item 3.4.2 does not indicate that the Evaluation Appraisal results be sent to the CMMI Institute. Is this correct?

Response: Since this is a new appraisal process that we have never been through, the answer is if it is the new standard practice to submit Evaluation Appraisal results to the CMMI Institute per the new process than they should be. If it is not required and has no impact on Benchmark Appraisal then they do not need to be sent and it is not an extra part of appraisal process since is required as far as costing. The main intent/cost associated with this paragraph is briefing the package to the organization.

3) May you tell me if there is an incumbent?

Response – Yes.

4) If yes, can you tell me who they are?

Response – JCCPI Consulting, Inc.

5) May our company obtain an extension until the 31st of August (that would be just an extra 3 days from the due date of the 28th)?

Responses – Yes, this will be extended until 31 August 2018, 1400 Eastern Standard Time.

6) In order to properly price & scope this effort, can the government please provide us with how many projects currently fall under the Armament SEC organization? Also, please provide the type of work being performed by each project (e.g. call center, software engineering, operations and maintenance etc.) as well as how many projects are currently implementing CMMI ML5 within the organization? This will help with regards to understanding the scope of the effort (number of projects needed to go through the appraisal).

Note: The new sampling algorithm is much more restrictive / complex and will be performed by the CMMI Institute for V2.0 appraisals.

Response ‐ Currently there are 9 Projects Implementing CMMI ML5, 8 are Software Engineering and 1 Organizational Support (Process Engineering Group).

7) Is there a page limit for the technical response?

Response ‐ No

8) What is the anticipated award date for the contract?

Response ‐ By the end of September 2018.

9) Will the Government be providing copies of Appraisal Wizard or will that be the responsibility of the offeror? If the offeror is responsible, how many appraisal team members is the Government planning to provide?

Response ‐ The offeror is responsible for providing the Appraisal Tool and the government will have 8 appraisal team members, but will have at least 2 backups, and expect to fill max number of training seats specified in solicitation for additional key organizational personnel.

9) Are subcontractors allowed to help if need be?

Response: Yes, subcontractors are allowed.

10) What Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is ARDEC using?
