Grounds Maintenance
Ayer, MA
Solicitation # W15QKN-16-T-1205
Please see our questions below:
1.) Page 3 Question #2
It states the Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of a twelve month base and four, twelve-month option period. However, the bid is requesting pricing for (16) sixteen mowing? Does this mean the sixteen mowing pricing is broken down across a twelve month basis?
RESPONSE: See Performance Work Statement section 5.3. The period for mowing in the northern region is April through November. That’s eight months and typically the services are provided twice a month for mowing and trimming is once a month during those months. However, in section 5.3 of the PWS states "Prior to commencing any work, the Contractor shall submit a schedule of operations to the COR. The mowing schedule shall be subject to change in order that the contractor’s operations do not conflict or otherwise disrupt normal operations of the government in the facility involved. In the event the mowing is not necessary when scheduled, the COR will contact the contractor 48 hours prior to the work scheduled. The cancelled mowing will be credited and if necessary rescheduled to another date at the discretion of the COR.
2.) How would the pricing be calculated based off of the first question?
RESPONSE: It is the contractors responsibility to determine the prices proposed.
3.) Please advise who was the previous incumbent?
RESPONSE: Facility Maintenance Corp.

5.) What was the bid price for the incumbent and each twelve-month option?
RESPONSE: The Government is not allowed to provide an individual price breakout. The overall contract value was $20,000.00.
6.) How many previous bidders provided pricing/bids? What were the bid prices?
