The services being purchased are entitled “Depot Level Repair for the PP-8190/G Battery Charger, and the CTM-100/C Protocol Converter Unit”. The repair effort for these two Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) will be quoted on a FFP basis. This PWS does not include the provision of software or the performance of services in connection with software.

1.1 Definitions

1.1.1 “Repair” is defined as a series of corrective maintenance tasks required to restore a hardware item to a serviceable condition. This involves the replacement of parts, placing together that which is broken, or any other action required to return an unserviceable hardware item to a serviceable condition for which the item was designed to function. Repairs shall be performed within the RTAT as defined in this PWS.

It includes physical analysis, electrical analysis, mechanical analysis and repair or replacement of a single damaged module or subassembly. “Major Repair”: An LRU repair action that requires the repair or replacement of multiple damaged modules or subassemblies. To the extent possible the contractor shall use new material in the repair of the LRUs. Also included in the repair is the repair or replacement of parts or subassemblies.

“Could Not Verify” (CNV): A repair item for which the failure is not identified/verified.

“Beyond Economical Repair” (BER): An item for which the repair cost of a returned item exceeds the “Major Repair” price negotiated for this contract.

GBL: Government Bill of Lading document used for the shipment of Government equipment.

DD-1149: Government Shipping Document in which the Transportation Account Codes(TAC) are provided.

1.1.2 “ Corrosion Control”
