About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Virtual Suite Upgrade project at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, dated April 16, 2026.
The project involves transitioning from standard host replacement to a multi-site high-availability architecture by deploying a vSAN storage layer using two new Cisco UCS-C220 M8S servers distributed across two separate buildings. These servers will provide failover targets for existing workloads running on two legacy Cisco UCS-C220 M6 servers. One M6 and one M8S server will be located in each of two designated buildings. The contractor must configure all required Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), provide on-the-job training, and document final configurations. Core objectives include multi-site planning and network preparation, core vSAN deployment and configuration with CIMC setup and VMware ESXi installation on both M8S hosts, establishing VM-Host affinity rules, configuring VMware High Availability (HA) and vMotion, conducting "Building Isolation" and "Host Failure" testing, and providing both during-installation and post-installation training on troubleshooting and maintenance to 23 Communications Squadron (23 CS) personnel. The network must support low-latency 10Gb/25Gb connectivity between buildings for vSAN synchronization and vMotion traffic.
Work will be performed at Moody AFB Buildings 454 (Network Control Center & SCOO Shop) and 803 during normal hours (8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday) with no system downtime expected. All contractor personnel must maintain an active Secret Classification clearance and meet specific personnel qualification requirements. The contractor must submit test and measurement data electronically to 23 CS within five calendar days of work completion in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PDF format. The contract requires coordination with 23 CS Network Admin (23CS/SCOO) and 23 CS Plans & Programs (23CS/SCXP), compliance with OSHA safety standards, environmental protection regulations, proper material handling and waste disposal, and warranty support for all hardware, software, and workmanship. The period of performance is to be determined (TBD).
