About this file
The document is a notice for a virtual industry day hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District for the Brunswick Harbor Modifications Project. The project requires approximately 207,000 cubic yards of material to be dredged from the Cedar Hammock Range bend widener and 435,000 cubic yards from the turning basin feature at the Colonel's Island Terminal. The government is considering providing the contractor the option to dispose of the 207,000 cubic yards at either a beneficial use site on Jekyll Island or the Andrew's Island Dredged Material Containment Area (DMCA), while the 435,000 cubic yards would be disposed at the Andrew's Island DMCA. Additionally, the government is considering providing the contractor additional time on the period of performance, which was previously limited to 365 days. The industry day will solicit feedback from contractors capable of performing the work on these and other potential options to provide flexibility, reduce risk, and control costs. All questions should be directed to the points of contact provided.
