About this file

This document is an addendum for a Video Security System replacement and modernization project issued by the Butts County School System (BCSS) in Georgia. The project seeks a highly reliable, scalable security camera system capable of real-time monitoring, analysis, and alerts across BCSS facilities, including 5 schools and support buildings. Key details include specifications for camera quantities, resolutions, and locations, as well as requirements for network infrastructure, servers, storage, and video management software. The addendum addresses questions regarding the existing environment, site visits for the top 3-4 bidders, and the opportunity for a "best and final" proposal submission after the site visits.

Regarding pricing, the project requires hybrid on-site and cloud storage solutions with 30-60 days of video retention. Contractors must avoid specific camera manufacturers such as Huawei, Hikvision, ZTE, and Dahua, and the solution must integrate with AI capabilities, license plate readers, gun detection, SSO, and event search functionality. Contractor personnel will be subject to background checks for work on school grounds.
