About this file
This document is a Vendor Affidavit from Hillsborough County Public Schools, specifically addressing compliance with Section 787.06(13) of Florida Statutes regarding human trafficking and labor coercion. The document requires nongovernmental entities entering into contracts with governmental entities to certify that they do not engage in various forms of labor exploitation, including physical force, illegal confinement, deceptive debt practices, document withholding, financial harm, fraud, or providing controlled substances for exploitation.
The affidavit is part of a broader procurement process for an agriculture trailer for Plant City High School, requiring vendors to formally attest that they do not use coercive methods in their labor practices. The document provides a template for vendor representatives to sign under penalty of perjury, affirming their compliance with state regulations designed to prevent human trafficking and protect workers' rights. By mandating this certification, Hillsborough County Public Schools ensures that contractors maintain ethical labor standards as a condition of doing business with the school district.
