Solicitation No. VA246-15-B-0253 Amendment 4 Construct Parking Structure 14 April 2015 Question and Answers.

1. Question: Is there a government authorized security system contractor and/or vendor contact information (Division 28 - Electronic Safety and Security) associated with the Salisbury VAMC Facility for new system installations?

Response: There are no government authorized security system contractor and/or vendor contacts information available. Per the Specifications Section 28 05 00, 1.6 Submittals E. The Contractor shall provide an Electronic Safety and Security (ESS), installed, programmed, configured, documented, and tested. The security system shall include but not limited to: physical access control, duress alarms, elevator control interface, delayed egress, fire alarm interface, equipment cabinetry, dedicated photo badging system and associated live camera, report printer, photo badge printer, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) interface. Operator training shall not be required as part of the Security Contractors scope and shall be provided by the Owner. The Security Contractor shall still be required to provide necessary maintenance and troubleshooting manuals as well as submittals as identified herein. The work shall include the procurement and installation of electrical wire and cables, the installation and testing of all system components. Inspection, testing, demonstration, and acceptance of equipment, software, materials, installation, documentation, and workmanship, shall be as specified herein. The Contractor shall provide all associated installation support, including the provision of primary electrical input power circuits

2. Question: The following question was answered in the RFIs.

“Information Requested- Will there be a Geo Tech or report or pile schedule issued in the question responses? Response: There is in the specification section 00 31 32 Geotechnical Report” I have double checked the FBO website and the attached documents are what can be downloaded. Although the spec section 00 31 32 is in the Table of Contents, it does not exist in the document. “
