About this file
This document contains a notice of intent to sole source a preventive maintenance and service contract along with a letter supporting sole sourcing. The Washington D.C. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center seeks to award a sole source contract to Auris Health, Inc. to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform service and maintenance of its Monarch Elevate bronchoscopy visualization platform. The platform is located at the Washington D.C. VAMC and must be serviced and maintained by the original equipment manufacturer, Auris Health, due to proprietary software and hardware. The letter from Auris Health explains the platform requires authorized representatives trained by Auris using solely Auris-provided materials and replacement parts to avoid safety risks and ensure proper performance. Responses to the notice will be considered to determine whether to proceed with the sole source award to Auris Health, identified by UEI Number J2N7Y7NDNNW7.

The system utilizes proprietary software and hardware. Installation, service, and maintenance of the Monarch Platform must be performed only by authorized representatives trained by Auris Health, Inc.
(“Auris”) using materials solely provided by Auris. All replacement parts must be provided by Auris.
Use of an unauthorized third-party for installation, service, maintenance, components, or modification of the Monarch Platform may result in unexpected behavior, create safety risks, lead to damage of the system, its components or other property, or lead to poor system performance.
Auris is not responsible for any damage resulting from performance of service by an unauthorized individual or entity and modifications of any Auris products may void any and all warranties. Auris does not assume any responsibility or liability with respect to unauthorized modification or substitution of subsystems or components.
