Dear Partners:
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only as defined in FAR 15.201(e) to obtain information and stakeholders feedback. In addition, to get broad stakeholder and market feedback as to the soundness and robustness of the conceptual design from interested organizations with relevant experience and capabilities.
The United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID) Bangladesh Mission, is issuing this request for information (RFI) to all interested partners—especially local entities and locally-established partners—who have the ability to implement a $10 to $50 million activity in the Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban districts.
OBJECTIVE AND GOALS:
The objective of the activity is to mitigate the socioeconomic and environmental challenges in communities either hosting Rohingya refugees or impacted by the Rohingya refugee crisis. Of particular concern to USAID are issues related to: water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH);
agricultural productivity; natural resources management; workforce development; economic growth; and private sector engagement.
USAID is interested in the following questions:
1. What are the major social, economic, and environmental challenges presented by the protracted Rohingya refugee crisis?
2. What are the critical development needs facing the host communities with respect to
WASH, nutrition, economic growth, natural resource management, and agriculture?
3. Please highlight your organization’s experience in partnering with donors to implement multi-sectoral integrated development projects in Bangladesh.
