About this file
This document provides details for an industry day event regarding the Wolf Creek and Center Hill Dam Spillway Tainter Gate Replacement Projects. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District will host a virtual industry day on December 9, 2021 to present 60% draft plans and specifications for replacing the spillway gates and lifting equipment at Wolf Creek and Center Hill Dams. The intent is to receive feedback on clarity, constructability, and the ability to complete the work within projected timeframes.
The major work components include fabricating and installing new spillway tainter gates and lifting equipment at both dams, removing the existing gates and equipment, constructing work platforms, modifying the bridge for equipment access, and other associated work. The estimated performance periods are 10-12 years for Wolf Creek and 8 years for Center Hill. The projected value of each project is between $100-250 million.
The document provides instructions for U.S. citizens and foreign nationals to register for the online industry day event, including submitting required security forms in advance. Industry is also invited to submit comments on the draft plans by December 17, 2021 for consideration as the documents are finalized.
