STATEMENT OF WORK
PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT
75H71422Q00001
1.0 Background
This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the equipment requested
2.0 Scope
This order is to purchase and install a Controller DD6400 NFS CIFS Appliance or equal to, that can provide backup storage to support Tucson Area data files.
Tucson Area Office data systems consist of Dell VRTX chassis with 3ea Dell M630 Blade servers and a data storage array with 15TB of disk space configured with RAID 10 for a total of 7TB of usable space.
3.0 Objectives
The Tucson Area is in need of a backup solution to provide backup services for Personal drives, group data files, and miscellaneous files stored on Tucson Area Servers. Backups to be performed on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Our workload is primarily VM (7 VM) with a utilized capacity of 3.8 GB.
Our annual growth should be figured at 20% to account for unknown variables (hosting Sharepoint, etc.).
Our retention strategy needs to take into account legal compliance, data security and need for immediate access. Monthly full backups will be replicated to ABQ OIT, and they will be responsible for the offsite storage of 7 years of data. Locally this Data Domain solution would maintain 1 year of data with the most recent 8 cycles of data being the quickest to access or restore. Also, if it were possible, onsite retention of data for 7 years would be a plus.
Appliance should be able to provide the system requirements as outlined but not limited to items listed in section 4.0 System Requirements.
