About this file

This document contains a trawl vessel characteristics form and a sources sought notice for a bottom trawl survey. The National Marine Fisheries Service is seeking information from vessels that can provide trawling services to conduct a stock assessment survey of groundfish in the Gulf of Alaska from mid-May to late July/early August 2021. Required vessel characteristics include a minimum length of 36.5 meters, 1000 horsepower engine, trawling equipment, scientific work areas, accommodations for 8 scientists, and electronic equipment. The crew must have experience in trawling and fishing. Responses are due by January 14, 2021 and should not exceed 15 pages. The notice is to gather market information and potentially inform a future solicitation for the survey.
