REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) RESULTS
FOR
STEVEDORING AND RELATED TERMINAL SERVICES (S&RTS)
AT THE PORT OF
MESAIEED, QATAR

Capabilities: Generally describe your company’s experience in regards to the subject areas below.
1. Units of Measure. Measurement Tons (MTONs) is a measure of VOLUME and equal total cubic feet divided by 40.
a) Does your company have any limitations or constraints that prevent conducting business in Measurement Tons for ordering S&RTS? If so, explain.
b) What is the best pricing structure for our type of business? Please provide an example.
c) Is pricing in MTONs industry standard? If not, what is industry standard/commercial practice?
2. PWS – Requirements.
a) Provide any comments with regards to the Draft PWS tasks.
b) Do you foresee any issues with the requirement as it is currently written?
c) Are there any concerns in doing business with the Government and accessing all required facilities?
3. Period of Performance. The US government is expecting this requirement to have one five year base period with one six month extension, if needed.
a) Does your company have any limitations or constraints that will prevent you from performing under this terms? If so, explain.
b) Is it the company’s preference or is there a business or regulatory concern that prevents you from performing? If so, explain.
4. Miscellaneous.
a) The US Government conducts business in US Dollars, does your company have any limitations that will prevent you from performing in US Dollars?

b) List alternative potential pricing options that may offer the best value to the Government.
c) What is your experience in providing customs clearance services? Has your company ever performed customs clearance for the US Department of Defense cargo?
d) Can your company transition all required contractor furnished equipment/materials and provide sufficient personnel to be fully operational for services thirty (30) days after contract award? If not, how many days would be needed to be fully operational to perform services under the PWS?
e) Please provide any questions, comments or concerns you feel relevant concerning this proposed acquisition that would assist you in submitting a proposal.
