About this file
This Request for Proposal document is issued by the Weyauwega-Fremont School District in Wisconsin for the purchase of a new tractor and related attachments. The District seeks a Case-IH Farmall 55C tractor with 55 horsepower, a 4-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine, 4WD capability, cab with heating and air conditioning, and specific tire specifications (12 x 16.5 industrial front and 17.5 x 24 industrial rear). The proposal also includes a Case-IH L360A loader with quick attach design, a Case-IH BS174H snow blower (74" wide, two-stage), and a Case-IH BR172 sweeper (74" wide with hydraulic angle). The District notes compatibility requirements with a LandPride Model AFM40133 Batwing lawn mower attachment and will accept comparable tractors with up to 500 hours of use. Sealed bid proposals must be submitted by 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018, to the District's Central Office at 410 Ann Street, Weyauwega, WI 54983. Bids will be opened on December 10, 2018, at approximately 1:45 p.m., and bidders are welcome to attend. No email submissions are accepted, and late proposals will not be considered.
Award will be based on "best value" considering price, conformance to specifications, past performance, and vendor financial stability. The District intends to apply a trade-in credit for the current system, which consists of a Kubota 4700 Model with Turf Tires, 2WD, and approximately 2,500 hours of use, along with an MB-Broom 8-foot wide broom and powerpack. Vendors must itemize all equipment pieces and identify all costs, including any hidden costs, within their proposals. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part, and is not liable for any costs incurred by vendors prior to issuance of formal agreements or purchase orders.
