About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for the 2025 Trenton Street Sectioning Program issued by the City of Trenton, Michigan, dated February 18, 2025. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents for a project involving the removal and replacement of concrete road pavements at various city locations. The project scope includes removing and replacing sidewalks, driveway pavement, and road pavement with new concrete of varying thicknesses (4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch) on new aggregate bases. Additional work includes installing ADA truncated domes, straight face curb, subgrade undercutting, structure cover adjustments, structure reconstructions, underdrains, temporary signs, traffic control measures, erosion control, and site restoration. The project is designated as CERCO Job No. TR-94 and will be completed by October 31, 2025, with construction start scheduled for April 7, 2025.

The addendum specifically updates several sections of the original bidding documents to change "MDOT Grade P1" to "MDOT Grade S1" for driveway and road pavement replacement items. The contract will be awarded on a unit price basis, with payment calculated based on actual quantities completed. Liquidated damages are set at $500 per day for failing to complete work within the specified timeframes. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities without adjusting unit prices, and the contractor must provide traffic control measures in accordance with the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MMUTCD). All costs for traffic control, barricades, signage, and flagging are to be included in the unit prices.
