About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget's Printing Services for Request for Quote (RFQ) #26*0397. The project involves printing 60,000 units of the TR-1 Michigan Registration Computer Prepared Application form. Three vendors submitted bids for the project: LAWSON, WALKER, and IMAGE PRINTING. The document does not specify a response deadline, due date, site visit requirement, or bidder's conference. LAWSON has been recommended as the award recipient. Protests of the award decision must be submitted electronically through the Vendor Self Service system by the deadline posted on the Notice of Intent to Award, with submissions received after the deadline considered late. The actual award will be issued only after an order is received and Printing Services confirms its decision to outsource the project rather than perform the work in-house.

LAWSON submitted the lowest bid at $1,050.00 with a seven-day turnaround time and received maximum evaluation scores in the price hold, printed in Michigan, and experience categories. WALKER bid $1,900.00 with a 20-day turnaround, and IMAGE PRINTING bid $2,210.00 with a 15-day turnaround. The evaluation methodology prioritizes best value to the State of Michigan based on a combination of evaluation criteria factors and price, with Printing Services authorized to award to a higher bidder if superior turnaround time or other criteria justify the selection. All three bidders demonstrated capability to print in Michigan and met experience requirements. Kristin Bergan, the assigned print consultant, serves as the primary contact for project inquiries at 517-636-7743 or BerganK@Michigan.gov.
