About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a Request for Information (RFI) for Aerial Drone Platforms that can integrate tactical radios to enable Non-Line of Sight range extension. The RFI is being issued by the U.S. Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center, Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate.
The RFI is focused on Group I and II Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) platforms that can support communication payloads for aerial relay use cases. Key requirements include the ability to follow a ground vehicle platform at tactical speeds and in non-planned routes, support take-off and landing from a stationary and on-the-move ground vehicle, and maintain collision avoidance capabilities. The RFI is open to partial responses addressing only the communications relay payload, and multiple responses from the same company are permitted. There is no controlled document associated with this RFI, and no award date is specified.
