Responses from Procurement

1. Can you please confirm the time the solicitation is due?

All responses to this proposal are due on June 25, 2013 at 3:00PM, EST.

2. On the pricing sheets, what does the U/I term “AJ” mean?

AJ stands for Adjustable; IRS’ finance department uses this unit of measure for line items that have variable rates due to the nature of the work. For instance, one month of snowfall may be less than another; therefore, the amount of pay for that month would be different than the other month. Contractors should send pricing as they normally would.

3. Page C.10 under the snow removal states the contractor shall provide square footage costs for partial chemical applications and a one time charge per event for mobilization for a partial chemical application. The PWS references CLINS ending in 0012. I cannot find these referenced clins in the pricing structure. CLIN 0012 is for power sweeping of parking lots.

The CLINs for partial chemical application are CLINs ending in 0008 and 0009.

4. Is there a page limit to the technical?

There are only page limitations to the references portion of the proposals.

5. Are the Offeror's Reference Sheets, which limited to six total pages, the only allowed way to write to Past Performance? We ask this because Items listed as being required in the Technical Proposal show an Item 4: Offerors Experience and Item 7 Offeror's reference sheet.

The offeror’s Reference Sheet is the page in the solicitation before the Basis for Award page. The offeror’s Reference Sheet does not allow for much deviation; simply answer the questions. Three references is the limit and two pages per reference, if additional space is required, is all that will be accepted. The offeror’s experience portion allows for elaboration. In short, the offeror’s Reference Sheet is a concise supplement to the offeror’s experience.
