QA/QC: DELIVERABLES
The foundation of our QA/QC program is to provide senior level review at multiple steps in the project to verify that the appropriate standard of care as well as the appropriate level of completion is being met for that particular stage of the project. Primary objectives of this process are to eliminate errors and miscommunications, ensure consistency and accuracy in deliverables and provide guidance throughout the duration of the project. To implement these objectives, all produced work undergoes a five-step review check prior to completion or release of deliverables:

EXAMPLE PROJECT 1
CITY OF PLANT CITY GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
CONTINUING CONTRACT, 2010 – ONGOING
Tierra is currently providing professional consulting services to the City of Plant City on a continuing contract basis. We have provided these services to the City since 2010.
Mendonsa Road and Pinedale Drive Drainage Improvements (April 2010 – May 2010): The project site is located along Mendonsa Road in Plant City. An exfiltration trench was proposed to be located within a 10-foot wide easement along the south side of Mendonsa Road. Tierra performed two (2) SPT borings along the proposed exfiltration trench alignment to a depth of 15 feet below existing grade and one (1) field hydraulic conductivity test to identify the permeability characteristics of the near surface soils located along the proposed exfiltration trench alignment. Geotechnical services were completed on time and within budget.
Plant City Contact: G.D. “Willie” Nabong, P.E., 813-659-4200 Project Cost: $1,200.00 Key Personnel: Kevin Scott, P.E., Manny Valdes
Laura Street Improvements (April 2010 - May 2010): Laura Street was being reconstructed to a 2-lane urban typical section and the existing pavement on Laura Street had been removed along the majority of the roadway due to ongoing construction activities. Plastic soils had been encountered within 2 feet of the bottom of the proposed roadway base elevation along other sections of this project. FDOT Standards and Specifications require a minimum separation of 2 feet between the bottom of the roadway base and plastic materials. Tierra’s objective was to identify areas where plastic soils were anticipated to be within 2 feet of the proposed bottom elevation of the roadway base. To achieve this objective, ten (10) hand auger borings were performed to depths of approximately 8 inches to 3 feet below existing grades along the Laura Street alignment. Geotechnical services were completed on time and within budget. Plant City Contact: G.D.
